Bigler’s high-purity isobutylene plant successfully begins operations.
Bigler Petrochemical announced the successful start up of its high-purity Isobutylene facility. The new plant is built in coordination with BASF.
Completed on schedule and budget, the plant is designed to meet current customer demand as well as adapt to future needs. The HPIB start-up represents the completion of the first phase of a $1.2 billion investment in Bigler’s Pasadena asset.
Also planned are an alkylation unit, an acid regeneration unit and a 12-million barrel LPG, refined products and chemicals liquid bulk terminal, complete with pipe, vessel, barge, rail car, and truck capabilities.
